The Mini Moke arrived in 1964 designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and built at Longbridge by BMC, it was a stripped-back, fun-loving alternative to the iconic Mini, born from the same DNA as its celebrated sibling, the Moke retained the transverse engine and front-wheel-drive efficiency while shedding weight and complexity for a deliberately spartan charm. Originally built as a prototype for the British Army, but due to ground clearance issues it was redirected to the civilian and commercial sales markets.

With minimal weather protection, folding canvas roof, and open sides, the Moke became the favored companion of sun-soaked holidays and seaside adventures across Europe and beyond. Its simplicity was its strength: robust, economical, and cheerfully indifferent to pretense. The 1965 model year refined early production, establishing the design language that would endure for decades.

Produced in the UK from 1964 until 1968 when production was eventually moved to Australia and production of the Moke continued until 1982 before production was moved again to Portugal, finally in 1993 production of the Moke ceased.

Cult Models captures this period perfectly in 1:18 scale resin, preserving the Moke's honest proportions and characterful details—the functional bumpers, exposed hinges, and that unmistakable silhouette that defined a generation of leisure motoring.
